Type M3b Barbican Flat Refurbishment Completed September 2016

Thomson Brothers have just completed this complex project which included installing a mezzanine level in the barrel vaulted upper penthouse room. Below the mezzanine is a compact shower room that doubles as an en-suite WC taking it's inspiration from nautical space saving Shower/WC cubicles found on yachts. The design of the spiral staircase matches the existing black metal balustrades of the flats main staircase; the folded metal and hardwood tread design being taken from an original Barbican spiral staircase found in John Trundle Court which we used as a reference.
